Why Are There No Podcasts For Kids?

Stephanie Hayes, writing for The Atlantic:

Podcasts for kids seem like such a no-brainer. Podcasts could offer a solution to kids overdosing on dreaded “screentime,” a way to entertain and educate kids without fear of burning their retinas or letting their imaginations go to ruin. Plus, they could fit seamlessly into existing routines, filling long car trips or down-time before bed.

My guess? There aren’t enough kid-focused advertisers wanting to advertise on podcasts to make it worthwhile for the larger podcast producers. Yet.
Still, it is strange there aren’t more smaller/indie podcasts for kids.
