Scripps buys Stitcher

Deezer sells Stitcher for $4.5 million to E.W. Scripps, as reported by Steven Perlberg for The Wall Street Journal.

Interesting to compare this approach to what PRX did with Radio Public - both want to be “full stack” podcast companies (that is, own the content production, ads, ad serving and delivery) but PRX is going build its own services while Scripps has acquired other companies (they bought Midroll last year).
